DIG IT – Geisel’s Plumbing Dig Job

On 6/5/2020 Geisel had received a job referral from HomeServe for a blocked main drain on Hollywood Blvd. in Elyria. Our technician Zach Schultz was dispatched to the job. Zach used the Ridgid 1500 main drain machine to clear the blockage. At that time, Zach had discovered the drain had been compromised. Zach then preceded use the camera, and discovered that the drain had several breaks and collapse points in the yard.

Zach located the breaks in the yard, and OUPS (Ohio Utility Protection Program) was called out to mark the utilities underground. On 6/10/2020 Geisel had returned to the residence to start excavating. Geisel had dug approximately 25 feet long by 6 foot deep, and replaced the 6” clay sewer. Geisel used the camera and inspected the drain to the city main, to ensure that the remaining drain was in good condition. Geisel had installed a clean out in the flower bed for ease of any future drain cleaning. The excavation project was inspected and approved by the city. The excavation on Hollywood Blvd. was completed within ONE DAY!
